Jon Wettack

Jon spent six years as the founding operator of Carbonwave, where he designed, built, and operated the world's first industrial sargassum processing facility in the Caribbean. His experience spans the full sargassum supply chain: offshore collection, logistics, biomass chemistry and processing, resort operations, and commercial go-to-market for the end products.

SANDS was born from a simple insight: the downstream sargassum market cannot scale without modular and distributed quality preservation infrastructure.

Jon launched SANDS as a spinout from Carbonwave to build the infrastructure layer the industry needs.

Ilana Goldstein

Ilana is Director of Finance at Beasley Media Group, a ~$200M publicly traded media company. She has supported over $50M early-stage equity raises across pre-seed through Series A rounds and brings deep expertise in financial modeling, investor communications, and FP&A.

Previously, Ilana served as Finance Associate Director at Carbonwave, where she built the company's financial structure during a critical growth period. Her dual background in public company finance and early-stage fundraising makes her uniquely suited to guide SANDS through its pre-seed raise and investor process.
